Definition List:

Unordered Lists
Unordered lists - list of several items, preceeded by some form of bullet character.
Ordered Lists
Ordered lists - list of several items, preceeded by a number, letter, or Roman numeral. The TYPE option describes the character used to preceed the items in the list, and the VALUE option can start or change the numbering sequence.
Definition Lists
Definition lists - used to display a word or phrase, followed by the definition or explanation of that word or phrase. They are commonly used in dictionary or glossary lists.

  • Determine where you will go.
  • Determine transportation to and from your destination.
  • Before You Leave
    1. Get out the luggage.
    2. Pack according to what you plan to do:
      • Walking or Biking

Learning How to Count

  1. Most lists start with the number "1"
  2. Most of the time you count to "2" next.
  3. "2" two is followed by the number "3".

What if you want to skip a few numbers?

  1. In ordered lists, the option START allows you to change the numbering order.
  2. We will now continue counting from "6" to "7".
  3. "7" is followed by the number "8".
